How does Profhilo work?

Profhilo contains one of the highest concentrations of pure hyaluronic acid available in an injectable – 64mg per 2ml. Unlike crosslinked dermal fillers, this HA is not designed to hold a fixed position or add volume. Instead, it flows through the tissue and integrates naturally with the skin’s existing structures. Once in the skin, it draws and retains moisture at a deep level. Over the following weeks, it triggers a biological remodelling response – stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin. Clinical studies have shown Profhilo stimulates four types of collagen and elastin, leading to measurable improvements in skin laxity, firmness and overall quality.

What to expect

All Profhilo treatments begin with a consultation. The treatment uses the BAP (Bio Aesthetic Points) technique – five precise injection points on each side of the face, allowing the HA to spread evenly. Appointments take approximately 30 minutes. Small bumps at injection points are normal and resolve within 24 to 48 hours. Results are typically noticeable from 2 to 4 weeks after the first session, with optimal results after the second treatment. Maintenance every six months sustains results.

Profhilo and wider skin planning

Profhilo works well alone or as a foundation for a broader plan.
