HArmonyCa™ Hybrid Dermal Filler

HArmonyCa combines two mechanisms in a single injectable: immediate structural lift from hyaluronic acid, and gradual collagen stimulation from calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres. The result is a treatment that performs in the short term and continues to improve over time.

 

Two treatments in one

Most injectable treatments work through a single mechanism. Conventional hyaluronic acid fillers add volume immediately but do not directly stimulate new collagen. Collagen biostimulators like Juläine trigger the skin’s own collagen production but take time. HArmonyCa does both. Developed by Allergan Aesthetics, it combines hyaluronic acid with calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres.

The HA provides immediate structural support and softening. The CaHA microspheres gradually stimulate new collagen fibres from as early as one week after treatment, adding a layer of biological improvement that extends and enhances the result over time.

How does HArmonyCa work?

The hyaluronic acid component acts immediately – providing volume, structural support and visible improvement in contour. The calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres serve a different function: CaHA is a mineral-based compound biocompatible with the body’s own tissues. Once in the dermis, the microspheres act as a scaffold, stimulating fibroblasts to produce new collagen around them. As the CaHA gradually resorbs over the following months, the new collagen takes its place, providing a lasting structural improvement beyond the effect of the HA alone.
