FAQs JULÄINE

What is JULÄINE and how is it different from dermal filler?

Expand

JULÄINE is a collagen biostimulator, not a traditional hyaluronic acid filler. Instead of simply adding gel-like volume, it contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) microspheres that stimulate your skin to gradually produce more of its own collagen over time. The result is a progressive, regenerative improvement in skin firmness, elasticity and structure, rather than an instant “filled” look.

What areas can be treated with JULÄINE?

Expand

JULÄINE is typically used to treat areas of volume loss and skin laxity on the face, such as the cheeks, lower face and jawline, as well as some off-face areas in appropriate patients (for example, certain body or décolletage indications, depending on local approvals and clinic protocols.) It’s particularly suited to softening folds, improving facial contours and restoring a more supported, youthful appearance.

When will I see results - and how long do they last?

Expand

You may notice a little immediate plumpness from the fluid used to inject JULÄINE, but this settles in a few days. The true results build gradually as your skin produces new collagen – this typically starts to become visible from a few weeks, with optimal results developing over several months. Once established, results are long-lasting, often 18-24 months or more, although this varies by individual, lifestyle and treatment plan.

How many JULÄINE treatments will I need?

Expand

Most patients will need a course of treatments to achieve the best outcome. A common protocol is 2-3 sessions spaced a few weeks apart, but this depends on your starting point, age, skin quality and goals. Your practitioner will assess your face, discuss expectations and design a personalised plan – sometimes combining JULÄINE with other treatments like skin boosters, PRF/PRP or laser for a more comprehensive result.

Is JULÄINE safe, and what downtime should I expect?

Expand

JULÄINE uses poly-L-lactic acid, a material with a long history of medical use (e.g. in dissolvable sutures) and a well-established safety profile when injected correctly by trained medical professionals. After treatment, you can expect temporary swelling, redness, small bumps or bruising at injection sites, which usually resolve within a few days. Most people go back to normal activities quickly, but you’ll be given aftercare advice (such as massage, avoiding strenuous exercise or heat for a short period) to help ensure the best, safest result. As with any injectable treatment, there are risks, which will be discussed in detail at your consultation so you can make an informed decision.
