FAQS truSculpt

What is truSculpt body contouring and how does it work?

Expand

truSculpt is a non-surgical body contouring treatment that uses monopolar radiofrequency (RF) energy to gently heat the fat layer beneath the skin. This controlled heating damages targeted fat cells, which are then gradually cleared by your body’s lymphatic system over the following weeks. At the same time, the RF energy can help tighten and firm the overlying skin, improving overall contour and definition in the treated area.

Which areas can be treated with truSculpt?

Expand

truSculpt is designed to target stubborn pockets of fat in common concern areas, such as the:

  • Abdomen and waist (“muffin top”)

  • Flanks / love handles

  • Hips

  • Thighs

  • Upper arms

  • Under the buttocks or bra-line area (in suitable patients)

Your practitioner will assess you in consultation and recommend a tailored plan based on your goals, body shape and the areas you’d most like to refine.

How many truSculpt sessions will I need, and when will I see results?

Expand

Many patients notice improvement after a single session on a given area, with results continuing to develop over 6-12 weeks as the body processes the treated fat cells. Depending on your starting point and goals, we may recommend 1-3 sessions per area, spaced several weeks apart. During your consultation at Cosmetica London, we’ll discuss a realistic treatment plan and what you can expect in terms of visible change over time.

Am I a good candidate for truSculpt?

Expand

truSculpt is best suited to people who are near or close to their healthy weight, but bothered by localised areas of fat that don’t seem to shift with diet and exercise. It is not a weight-loss treatment or a solution for obesity. You may not be suitable if you are pregnant, have certain implanted medical devices (such as some pacemakers), uncontrolled medical conditions, or metal implants in the treatment area. We’ll review your medical history, medications and lifestyle in detail at consultation to ensure truSculpt is both safe and appropriate for you.

What does a truSculpt treatment feel like, and is there any downtime?

Expand

Most people describe truSculpt as feeling like an intense, deep warmth – similar to a hot stone massage – that comes in controlled bursts. Treatments are typically short (as little as 15 minutes per area), and no anaesthetic or injections are required. After your session, the skin may feel warm, pink or slightly sensitive for a short time, but you can return to normal daily activities immediately. There’s no required downtime, although we’ll give you simple aftercare advice (such as staying hydrated and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits) to support your results.
