Post-Pregnancy Skin Treatments FAQs
How long after giving birth do I need to wait before starting treatment?
ExpandThe timing depends on several factors, including:
- Whether you had a vaginal delivery or C-section
- How your healing is progressing
- Whether you are breastfeeding
- Your overall health and energy levels
We never rush this stage. At your consultation, we’ll talk through your birth history, examine the skin and tissues, and advise on what can be done now versus what is best to phase in later. Our priority is to work with your body’s natural healing timeline, not against it.
Can I have these treatments if I’m breastfeeding?
ExpandMany post-pregnancy treatments can be adapted for women who are breastfeeding, but not all protocols are suitable at every stage. This is why a thorough consultation is essential. We’ll review:
- Your breastfeeding status
- Any medications you’re taking
- Your overall health
From there, we can advise which treatments are appropriate now, and which are better scheduled for later, once breastfeeding has reduced or finished. Our approach is always cautious, transparent and safety-first.
Can these treatments get rid of my stretch marks and loose skin completely?
ExpandIt’s important to be honest: no treatment can completely erase the physical signs of pregnancy, and we don’t promise to “turn back the clock”. What we can do is:
- Improve skin firmness and strength
- Enhance texture and elasticity
- Soften and blend the appearance of stretch marks
- Help your skin feel more supported, resilient and comfortable
Results are gradual and build over time as collagen remodels, often over weeks to months and usually with a course of treatments. Our philosophy is rooted in realistic expectations, long-term skin health and helping you feel more at home in your post-pregnancy body – not erasing the journey you’ve been through.
