We have some very special – and emotional – news to share with you all today.
After nearly 14 incredible years, our wonderful Managing Director Amanda has made the difficult (yet exciting!) decision to leave Cosmetica and embark on an exciting new chapter.
While we are so sad to see her go, we are also enormously excited for her – and proud of everything she has achieved. Amanda has been such an integral part of Cosmetica since the very beginning, and it is impossible to imagine the clinic without her warmth, humour, care and endless hard work.
Amanda co-founded Cosmetica with Mica back in 2012. What started as a leap of faith grew into something truly special. Together, they navigated every high and low that comes with building a business from the ground up – from the early days of establishing the clinic, to growing Cosmetica into the beautiful, thriving practice it is today.
Over the years, Amanda has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help create the welcoming, supportive and caring environment that so many of our patients know and love. She has been there for countless milestones, challenges and celebrations, and her contribution to Cosmetica cannot be overstated.
Reflecting on her time at the clinic, Amanda shared:
“My dear Cosmetica family,
I wanted to share some personal news with you all. After nearly 14 crazy years working behind the scenes at Cosmetica, I’ve made the difficult – but also exciting – decision to close this very special chapter of my life while I’m still young enough (relatively!) to see what else this unpredictable world has to offer.
Starting the business with Mica back in 2012 was such a leap of faith for us both. Together, we navigated all the ups and downs that come with building something from the ground up, and I’m so proud of what we created. Cosmetica has grown into a truly beautiful clinic – beyond anything we could have imagined in those early days.
I feel so lucky for the experiences it has given me, and especially for the wonderful patients I’ve met along the way – so many of whom have become dear friends. And of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible support, dedication and care of our team, both past and present. You have all played such an important part in this journey.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has been part of my time at the clinic. Although my life by the beach in Cornwall is much quieter and calmer these days, there will always be a part of me connected to Cosmetica and Balham.
I wish Mica and Asha every success for the future of the clinic.”
Reading Amanda’s words, we are reminded not only of everything she has given to Cosmetica, but also of the incredible relationships that have been built over the years.
One of the things that has always made Cosmetica so special is the sense of family that exists within the clinic. So many of our patients have been with us for years, and many have become friends. Amanda has been such a huge part of that. Her kindness, her ability to make people feel at ease and the genuine care she has shown to everyone around her are things we will miss enormously.
At the same time, we know that this next chapter is one she has more than earned. We are delighted that Amanda will be embracing a slower, quieter life by the sea in Cornwall – and we have no doubt that whatever she chooses to do next, she will bring the same energy, warmth and brilliance to it that she brought to Cosmetica.
Amanda, thank you for everything you have done over the last 14 years. Thank you for helping build Cosmetica into the clinic it is today. Thank you for your friendship, your loyalty and your unwavering dedication.
You will always be part of the Cosmetica family.
