HydraFacial FAQs

What is a HydraFacial?

Expand

The HydraFacial is one of the most powerful non-invasive skin resurfacing treatments available.  This facial uses patented Vortex-Fusion technology to exfoliate and deeply extract the pores whilst simultaneously delivering hydrating serums to the skin.

Unlike manual extractions in traditional facials, the HydraFacial is very gentle yet incredibly effective.  It uses a medical grade device alongside serums to clear debris from pores whilst also moisturising and exfoliating.

The HydraFacial helps treat all the common signs of ageing such as wrinkles and fine lines, uneven skin tone or texture, brown spots, enlarged pores and congested skin.

What should I expect during my HydraFacial treatment?

Expand

The HydraFacial is delivered using a specialist piece of technology so you should expect to see machinery with various attachments used throughout your treatment.

You will receive a thorough cleansing and lymphatic massage before various devices are used to treat the skin.  These include a vortex-like wand to help remove impurities from the skin, a vacuum-like attachment to clear debris from your pores and a pen-like tool to deliver the serum. The treatment is bespoke and tailored made to meet your specific needs.

Is a HydraFacial suitable for everyone?

Expand

Yes, it’s suitable for all skin types, and one of its strengths, is how customisable it is for each person.  So whatever skincare concern you’re battling with, the HydraFacial can treat it, restoring your glow.  We do warn, however, that this treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

What before or after care should I know about with a HydraFacial treatment?

Expand

It’s best not to book a HydraFacial treatment if you have any active skin rashes or a cold sore.

There is no downtime with a HydraFacial, so you won’t have any redness or irritation to contend with.  However, we do advise you avoid any further exfoliating treatments on your face for a few days after your HydraFacial.

How soon will I notice results?

Expand

The skin will immediately look more glowing and refined.  The deep cleansing power of the HydraFacial, coupled with the active ingredients in the serum will continue to deliver results over the coming weeks.

Is it permanent or how long will it last?

Expand

A HydraFacial offers a complexion boost like any facial but isn’t permanent.  However, the level of cleansing and the active ingredients in the serums will support the skin to look its best for a number of weeks afterwards.

What side effects are possible with HydraFacials?

Expand

During your treatment you may feel a slight tingling or stinging sensation – this will stop within a few hours of treatment.

You may notice a slight irritation, tingling or redness in your skin after your HydraFacial appointment. These are normal, and temporary reactions which will resolve in 72 hours or less depending on your skin sensitivity.

We recommend you use SPF40 or above on your skin after treatment and avoid direct sun exposure.  As your skin will be a little more sensitive, we suggest you avoid any exfoliating treatments or processes or any product containing Retin A for two weeks both before and after a HydraFacial.

How much does the HydraFacial cost?

Expand

For all treatment costs, see our Price List.

How many treatments will I need?

Expand

We recommend weekly to fortnightly treatments for optimum results, so we package up a course of 6 treatments for the price of 5.  Following this course, we can maintain skin health through monthly treatments.  However, a one off treatment is also especially effective to achieve red carpet skin prior to any special event.
