ClearLift™ Laser Face Lift FAQs

This non-surgical procedure uses the specially designed Harmony ClearLift™ laser to achieve a face lift effect by painlessly and precisely treating the common signs of ageing.

Whilst clearing the skin of imperfections such as lines and wrinkles, sun spots, uneven skin tone and laxity, the laser also helps with skin remodelling – stimulating healing deep beneath the surface.  This prompts new collagen to form and tightens and contacts the tissue over the weeks following each treatment.

The ClearLift™ laser targets deep dermal tissue, leaving the epidermis intact.  This means these treatments are easy to fit into a busy schedule and require no downtime.

We’ll need to complete a medical screening to make sure the laser skin remodelling and lifting procedure is right for you, before doing a small patch test to check for any adverse reaction.  After 24 hours, if all is well, we can begin treatments.

You’ll be settled in a reclined position in one of our hydraulic treatment chairs whilst soft music and lighting aid relaxation.  The laser is virtually painless so no anaesthetic is required. 

The ClearLift™ laser emits short, powerful bursts of light and sound but you simply lie back and relax whilst it goes to work.  Each treatment takes around 20 minutes and you can return to work straight after.

The patch test is important to ensure your skin does not react to the treatment.

However, the ClearLift™ laser is suitable for use on all skin types.  

We don’t recommend laser treatments to anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, or to those with autoimmune disorders.

We advise that you avoid the sun for 4-6 weeks both before and after treatment – this includes sunbeds.

You mustn’t use tanning cream for a week before or any harsh acid based products for 48 hours prior to procedures.

After treatment, avoid the sun and use SPF 50 at all times.  We recommend you steer clear of hot baths and head treatments and treat the skin gently, as if you had sunburn, for the first 24 hours.

Some surface changes may be immediately improved but it’s the deep healing process which produces the best results.  By the end of your course of treatment you should see a significant improvement.

Each individual’s results are different but we’d expect the benefits to last around 2 years with one top up treatment during that time. Unfortunately we can’t stop the ageing process indefinitely but it’s important to note that lifestyle can have a huge impact on how well these results last. After this, you’ll need another course to stop the clock once more.

There is no real downtime with this treatment but some people may feel a redness, heat rash or some slight swelling immediately following treatment.  Some pigmentation may darken.  This will subside very quickly and the deep dermal healing is invisible.
